This July we are loving…

July Favourites

How are we in the seventh month of Twenty Eighteen already?!

As Winter has well-and-truly rolled out the ice freezing carpet – it’s time to grab the popcorn and catch up with the new flicks and wrap up in a blanket for a great new read.

Music: Bebe Rexha
Bebe Rexha is no newbie to the music world but she is most definitely crushing it in 2018. Bebe already has a string of hits under her belt including the likes of Meant to Be, I Got You, Hey Mama and In The Name of Love. After a few EPs, Bebe’s much anticipated debut album Expectationsdropped last week featuring I’m a Messfollowing releasing an upbeat collaboration with Rita Ora, Cardi B and Charli XCX, aptly named Girls.

Travel: Amsterdam
Lurking on the other side of the world is the sights of Amsterdam. Your itinerary is sure to be lengthy with the mix of attractions on offer – world-known museums and galleries including the Van Gogh Museum and the Anne Frank House plus live-music at summer festivals. Indulge in the devine restaurants and food festivals, jump on a canal cruise or grab a bicycle and take in the picture perfect views of Amsterdam.

Book: Tunia Pitt – Unmasked
I went to the Courage & Badassery event last month where the headline speaker was Australian burns-survivor Tunia Pritt. I went into the conference knowing the line-up of speakers would leave me inspired, but I didn’t quite prepare myself for Tunia’s speech and how much her words would relate to anyone. I purchased her book (which she even kindly individually signed) and I think everyone should hear about her journey.

Film: Incredibles 2
It’s here – it’s finally here! 14 lengthy years after the release of the first Disney/Pixar hit, Incredibles 2 has just burst onto our cinema screens. Brad Bird is back in the directing hot seat for the long-awaited sequel to the 2004 box office smash. What happens when Mr Incredible is left to take care of Jack-Jack without being aware of his emerging superpowers while Elastigirl is out saving the world then add a villain hatching a dangerous plot? Chaos ensues in the new Incredibles.
