Mental Wellbeing Podcasts

In light of World Mental Health Day (although we definitely should be speaking about Mental Health year-round) this month, we thought we would share some Mental Wellbeing podcasts to add to your radar!

Pretty Depressed
Our very own Kim Crossman hosts Pretty Depressed, interviewing a variety of guests about their life and mental wellbeing. Over the years, Kim has spoken to ‘The Middle’ actress Eden Sher about Bipolar, Green MP Chloe Swarbrick has shared about her mental health, Kim’s psychologist and author Gwendoline shared some of her tips, Chanelle Moriah talked Autism and ADHD, and so much more! Check out the podcast on Spotify or your favourite streaming platform.

The Squeeze
Taylor Launter and Taylor Launter (yes they are both Taylor’s!) host The Squeeze. Their conversations with guests focus on the ‘comfort of knowing you are not alone’. They have recently been joined on their couch by content creator Charli D’Amelio, Dr. Caroline Leaf, Pretty Little Liars star Sasha Pieterse and Harry Hudson, to name a few. When life gives you lemons, let’s talk about it like Taylor and Taylor are doing.

Hope is Real
Mental Health advocate and author Jazz Thornton hosts Hope is Real, a podcast with the aim to leave listeners ‘feel a little less alone, a bit more inspired, and a lot more hopeful.’ Jazz, who has her own lived experience with Mental Illness, is able to speak rawly and honestly with her guests which include content creator Spencer Barbosa, her Voices of Hope co-founder Genevieve Mora, therapist Lindsay Fleming and Law & Order: SVU’s Jamie Hyder.

On Purpose with Jay Shetty
British author and life coach Jay Shetty hosts On Purpose, a podcast that wants you to ‘live life today on purpose’. He speaks to some of the biggest names including most recently Arnold Schwarzengger, Kerry Washington and Zane Lowe. These insightful conversations are sure to leave an impact on listeners – feeling heard, inspired or even hearing about something new.

Voices of Hope: A Moment with…
It’s not weak to speak. That’s one of the key messages mental health charity Voices of Hope wants you to know. Hosted by co-founder Genevieve Mora, their podcast A Moment with… is in its second season and features interviews with former All Black captain Kieran Read, musician Paige and comedian James Roque, all tackling conversations about their lived experience with mental health – these are sensitive topics, but they are so important and impactful – take a listen.
