April Favourites

Happy April! It’s officially that time of year – Easter and Coachella season…

This month we check out a British singer-songwriter making waves on the charts, visiting our (across-the-ditch) neighbour for a getaway, Pretty Little Liars are back and a Love Island fave’s new venture.

Music: Hannah Jane Lewis
British-born beauty Hannah Jane Lewis is a singer-songwriter based in London. She studied music at NYU and started releasing her own music soon after. I actually discovered Hannah’s music last year when I heard a song playing in a store I was in and I liked it so much I had to Shazam it – I found out it was Hannah’s track Raincheck. 2018 was a pretty big year for Hannah with 4 million streams on Spotify alone so I’m excited to see what 2019 holds (hopefully new music!)

Travel: Melbourne
The city of art and fashion is just a couple of hours flying time from NZ and there is always so much on offer that you’ll be stretched for time in your week/weekend getaway. The International Comedy Festival is currently in town with art museums, markets, restaurants and shopping destinations galore and I’m looking forward to visiting my bestie who has recently moved there to explore it all for myself!

Book: What Would Dani Do – Dani Dyer
Dani Dyer made waves when she became the Love Islandsweetheart on the UK series last year. A trained actor, Dani isn’t new to the TV scene (and it runs in the family with her father, Danny Dyer
Since leaving the villa with the prize money (and a boyfriend), Dani has released her own clothing collection with In The Style, starred in Nativity! The Musical and climbed Kilimanjaro for Comic Relief. She will this week let fans and readers into her world releasing her debut book which is Dani’s guide ‘to living your best life.’

TV: Pretty Little Liars – The Perfectionists
Marlene King is back bring Sara Shepards words to life after the hugely successful Pretty Little Liarsseries. PLL’s The Perfectionistsfollows two of the original series most loved characters Mona (Janel Parrish) and Alison (Sasha Pieterse) together once again with new secrets and lies in the twisted journey. Famous in Love’s Sofia Carson and Gossip Girl’s Kelly Rutherford join the cast in the eagerly awaited spin-off. The first two episodes have got me hooked already…
