Winter Beauty Sorted

After sharing some of our fave clothing items last month as the Winter season approached, it’s now time to take care of your skin to keep you looking fresh from head to toe!

Check out our picks and recommendations of the must haves that should be in your beauty stash.

Self Heating Face Masks
I rate Biore products all year round, but the self-heating feature of this face mask is a true added bonus in the cold weather! The natural charcoal mask purifies your pores in just one-minute, so you’ll always have time to fit it into your schedule! The 4 pack is available for about $9 from The Warehouse or supermarkets.

Lips
One of the really annoying parts of colder weather is having dry and chapped lips! Ain’t nobody got time for that so I recommend picking up one of the Palmers Cocoa Butter range – the Swivel Stick, which kind of resembles a big chapstick (but still good for your handbag!) is the one in my bag.
The range is available at Pharmacies and Farmers.

Moisturiser
I’ve raved about the Nivea range previously because they have a sensitive skin moisturiser in their range and I still haven’t been able to find anything better! The Rich Moisturising Day Cream in SPF30+ is sold at all good beauty stores.

BB Cream
Not every day calls for heavy make-up on so when you’re giving your skin a make-up free day to let your skin breathe turn to the moisturising Garnier BB Cream – it’s the perfect substitute. This BB cream is SPF 15, hydrating, a great small purse size and only $15.

Dry Shampoo
There will surely be days where it’s too cold to get up and you want an extra few minutes in bed so you don’t have time to wash your hair so it’s Batiste’s Dry Shampoo to the rescue. Grab the mini for on-the-go and the full-size for your home cabinet so that you’re sorted any time your hair needs a little pick-me-up!

Sleep Spray
It’s said that people can find the wild rain soothing to fall asleep to at night but not all of us can fall under that spell so the team at This Works have come out with a range of natural products to help fall asleep and wake up feeling refreshed. My pick is the Deep Sleep Pillow Spray which is infused with lavender and wild chamomile – it’s available in NZ for $41 at Mecca Beauty in store and online.

Body Conditioner
My obsession with the sweet smell of Lush products continue with their Snow Fairy range that has body conditioner and body washes that literally smell like candy! With winter calling, stockpile your basket with some Lush goodies and settle with a book and a bath.

Vitamin C
While this is probably something you wouldn’t find normally in your beauty stash, the colder season calls for these Vitamin C sachets are! Make your health the priority with 1000mg of Vitamin C so you can keep being your beautiful self. (I’m not going to lie – they don’t have the best taste however I can vouch that they work!)
