Hey team,
Wow, what an exciting few days I have had so far in Australia.
I stopped in for a night in Melbourne to see some friends, found a cute little hipster bagel place where I had one of the best meals of my life! A bagel with nutella, banana and crushed hazelnuts.., heaven.
Next stop was Port Douglas in Far North Queensland. My Dad has been living here for 11 years and I love to visit. We stepped it up a notch yesterday, cramming the day with activities. First up was a paddle boarding lesson, I have wanted to try it for the longest time so I was stoked when the opportunity came up. I was ok on the water, better at doing head stands on the board than catching waves, but I really enjoyed it!
Hanging out with koala’s, crocs, wallabies and snakes was next on the agenda. I have a bit of a #theyearofnofear going on so decided to really just give everything a go. Surprisingly I was not scared holding any of the animals, I really enjoyed it. Especially the snake. But put a rat near me and it would be a different story (I have a huge phobia of rats) but I was impressed by how calm and collected I was. I loved it so much I made a little video o share with you all.
Let me know what you think? Would you be happy to hold a snake?
Lots of love,
Kimberley
