Wrapping Up Twenty Eighteen

Twenty Eighteen was another big year! As we move into the first few days of 2019, we take a look back on a couple of our favourite favourites (now that’s a tongue twister) of the past year.

Music: Ariana, Troye, Little Mix and more
Ariana Grande, Troye Sivan and Little Mix have all had a mega year on the charts after releasing their albums throughout 2018. Ariana summed up the end to a rollercoaster year by wishing her fans well for the upcoming months, “I hope this new year brings you all much laughter, clarity and healing. Be gentle with yourselves and each other. Thank you for everything.”

Travel: Tokyo, Bora Bora and Amsterdam
In 2018 we added a bunch more picturesque places to our travel bucket list including Tokyo, Bora Bora and Amsterdam (which is the most unique yet perfect mix). Whether the weather has got you down or you just need a holiday so you find yourself day dreaming, accounts like YouTuber Alisha Marie’s of her Insta-worthy Bora Bora trip will just intensify the need-to-travel even more! What hot spots are we going to add to the list in the new year?

Books: kikki.K, Parris Goebel and more
We profiled just twelve of the amazing books on offer this year throughout the months – plenty of good summer reading if they’re still on your To-Read list! kikki.K founder Kristina Karlsson has put pen to paper, detailing her own journey of founding the worldwide stationery brand and YouTuber Zoe Sugg published a full-colour hard-cover book aptly titled Cordially Invitedsurrounding everything you need to be the hostess with the mostest. Internationally-known kiwi Parris Goebel took her dancing shoes off for a moment to detail her spectacular journey in Young Queenand Michelle Obama delighted fans with the release of Becoming.

Quote: Jessie J
We’ve shared a lot of words of wisdom together over Twenty Eighteen. One that is putting it simply and sweetly was shared by Jessie J earlier in the year, “Shit happens, life is tough. Drink plenty of water. Stay away from mean people. Listen to your gut. Learn to say “f**k you, I’m awesome, smart and beautiful.”Word, Jessie J.
