Interview with Annelise Temple #badasschicks

She is one of the most badass chicks on the internet and in real life, no question. I have been following Annelise for a while now and recently had the opportunity to interview her for KimberleyCrossman.com

How did you get started? (Base jumping, skydiving, climbing, stunts etc)

I just went out and did it.

What inspires you? Who do you admire?

Life in general inspires me. I love all new and exciting experiences. As far as who inspires me… my grandmother will always be the most adored human being in my life, but I admire anyone who is honest and genuinely interested in bringing others up.

Name one of your accomplishments that you’re most proud of?

Being alive today is a pretty solid accomplishment. 🙂

What does your daily schedule involve?

I’m not much of a scheduler…

Tell us about some of the challenges you face regularly?

Limiting my interests is always a struggle. I want to do everything, so focusing on any one particular thing is difficult.

What is the best thing about the way you live your life?

The best thing about the way I live my life is freedom. I live in a van so I am not tied down to one location. My job allows me to travel, and travel allows me to interact with new cultures and experience some pretty amazing things.

What do you find is hardest part and what makes you nervous?

Being constantly on the road makes it difficult to have the kind of relationship that I would like. I’ve learned not to give up the life I want to be in a relationship, so I’ll be single until I find someone that is on the same path.

What’s at the top of your goals/bucket list?

Ski BASE jumping

Is there anyone you’d love to collaborate with?

Yes, but most of the people that I want to collaborate are already my friends. 🙂 The cool thing about skydiving and BASE jumping is that everyone knows everyone. We are all found in the same planes and at the some of the same exit points.

When you have spare moments in your day, what would we find you doing?

When I have spare moments in the day, I’m probably day dreaming.

Where is somewhere you’d love to travel or attend a festival/event?

I’d love to go to Norway.

Who are your favorite music artists to listen to and TV show to watch?

I don’t really watch Tv, and my music selection is all across the board.

Do you have a favorite quote you like to live by?

These are some quotes that my dad used to tell me growing up…

“Use it up. Wear it out. Make do. Or do without.”

“Do the right thing.”

What’s the best piece of life advice you’ve received and from whom?

When I was at a very down point in my life, my friend Charles Mui gave me some great advice. He told me that bad feelings are essentially negative energy. Since energy cannot be created or destroyed, you cannot expect those feelings to just stop or go away with time. You can, however, change the energy. So he suggested that I take all of the negative emotions, turn them into motivation, and make something good out of the situation.

Where would you like to see yourself in 1 year, 3 years?

In a year, I’ll probably still be living out of my van and traveling. I’m happy with life exactly how it is right now.
