Summer is now a distant memory (sigh) and it has finally time to quit the denial stage – Autumn is well and truly here with Winter fast approaching.
It’s seriously gettin’cold in here! Auckland and the rest of NZ has had a chilly cold spot recently and I found myself dragging out my Winter clothes…in April! So since I’m starting to compile my winter wardrobe, I’ve put together a couple of my picks for your new wardrobe below…
Jackets
A good jacket (or five) is a must in the Autumn to Winter season. As daylight saving has ended (sob!), the sunset is earlier making the late afternoons colder without that lovely sunshine.
I’m personally a big fan of the bomber jacket style (and already have many in my wardrobe).
I currently have my eye on the cosy stylish faux fur bomber from Glassons (RRP $99.99). https://www.glassons.com/clothing/coats-jackets/coats/faux-fur-bomber-CS37192FUR?c=SANCHEZ
Continuing on with Glasson’s great range of jackets this season, another option to pick up is this ‘girlfriend’style denim jacket (can’t go wrong with denim, right?) that comes fit with faux fur lining to keep ya extra snug. Plus it’s available in white if that’s more up your street. (RRP $89.99)

Jeans
Topshop may no longer have physical stores in NZ but Australian based The Iconic offers their range of affordable jeans including the high waisted, skinny fit ‘Moto Jamie Jeans’that make it easy option to pair with a t-shirt and sneakers. (RRP $90)
Sweatshirts
A oversize sweatshirt is always welcome in any wardrobe (am I right?!) and my pick is this black slogan jumper with ‘unity’embroidery which is support of GLAAD. Support a great organisation and get a cool new item for your wardrobe – that’s a win, win if you ask me! (RRP $61.68) http://www.asos.com/asos/asos-x-glaad-oversized-sweatshirt-with-embroidery/prd/8843736?clr=black&SearchQuery=glaad&gridcolumn=2&gridrow=1&gridsize=4&pge=1&pgesize=72&totalstyles=19
Footwear
Sneakers are easy to slip on and great for a casual day out – where you want to wear flats and be comfy yet stylish at the same time. I’m a big fan of Adidas sneakers and I often will be seen in either my pair of white Gazelle sneakers or Stan Smith sneakers, I highly rate them! You’re looking at about $160 (RRP) for a pair of Gazelle’s, with colours and styles ranging. https://www.platypusshoes.co.nz/gazelle-white-gold-met.html#93=4338
Accessories
When you’ve got your keys, cards, lipstick and all the other bits and bobs us gals carry, this little number from Status Anxiety is a perfect option. I’ve had the Plunder bag (which comes in multiple colours) on my wish list for a little while as it’s on the more pricey side but the adjustable long strapped bag is worth it. (RRP $181)

The last thing you want in this time of year (or anytime, really) is a cold. Sometimes bugs are going around so it can be unavoidable but by keeping your Vitamin C intake regular and wrapping up warm – especially your neck with a scarf is the key. I just picked up this black knit scarf on sale from ASOS, for only $13 this week and I love it! They have a great range if this one isn’t up your alley. http://www.asos.com/urbancode/urbancode-oversized-knitted-scarf-with-tassel-fringing/prd/8578033?iid=8578033&custref=110239158&affid=14564&channelref=email&orderref=323540968
