Happy July – over the half way point for the year already! This month we chat about UK musician Maisie Peters’ new podcast, former NZ PM Jacinda Ardern’s memoir, Shondaland’s The Residence TV series that features Kylie Minogue, One Pot One Portion and a fun Instagram account to check out!

What to listen to: Twinhood with Maisie & Ellen Peters
You’ll likely know one half of this sibling duo for her empowering pop tunes – I’m talking about UK singer-songwriter Maisie Peters! She’s teamed up with her identical twin sister Ellen to launch Twinhood, ‘celebrating the chaos, charm, and contradictions of twin life – but not in the way you’d expect.’ The podcast recently launched, there’s six episodes out now and ready for you to digest and since it’s just started, you can get on board and call yourself an OG listener!

What to read: Jacinda Ardern – A Different Kind of Power
A powerhouse that needs little introduction… former New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern is laying it all out in her new memoir, A Different Kind of Power that was released last month. Many of us have witnessed her lead the country, as the youngest PM in over 150 years, through challenging times and everything in between. This book promises to cover her journey, her extraordinary rise and what she wants to say to the next generation of leaders. She also has a documentary coming out, NZ viewers will get a chance to check it out at the upcoming New Zealand International Film Festival. Get amongst it!

What to eat: One Pot One Portion
Cooking for one can feel like a bit of a chore – cookbook author Eleanor Wilkinson gets that and she’s centering her recipes around it (she wants everyone to see/feel the joy that can come from it!). This week on her Instagram, she’s just started a new series called Table For One. Whether there’s something on her page you want to make, or it gives you inspiration for some new meal ideas – check out her Instagram page @eleanorgwilkinson.

Who to follow: @romy.andmichelle
My explore page just knows I’m all for the fun cat and dog content of them just living their best little furry fun lives. Check out @romy.andmichelle on Instagram – the journey of two tuxedo cats adopted from a NYC rescue. One of their posts I saw recently said ‘once you reach the age of 30+ you immediately get sorted into 1 of 4 houses… Books, Plants, Running or Cats/Dogs’ – which is so real.
