It’s the final countdown…until Christmas (and the end of Twenty Eighteen). This year has flown by!

This month we check out Rita Ora’s new album, a wilderness bubble, former First Lady Michelle Obama puts pen to paper and Rami Malek’s Freddie Mercury takes on the big screen in the Queen biopic.

Rita Ora’s long-awaited follow-up to her debut album, Phoenixhas arrived. The record includes her collaboration with Cardi B, Bebe Rexha & Charli XCX Girls and recently released tuneLet You Love Me. The singer has been jetting all over the world in promotion of her new music including performing at the People’s Choice Awards and this year’s Victoria Secret show then on the other side of the world at the ARIA’s in Sydney. We’re hoping a world tour (that includes this side of the world) is on the cards for 2019…

Travel: The Bubble, Iceland
Iceland was already on my travel bucket list but after seeing Brandi Cyrus’post on my Instagram the other week (which then for obvious reasons, made it onto my Saved page) – The Bubble in the Golden Circle ticks all the wilderness boxes. The 5 Million Star Hotel, where their motto is ‘let your childhood dream of sleeping in nature become reality.’Perhaps Santa will put some travel money under the tree this year…

Book: Michelle Obama – Becoming
Michelle Obama who is a graduate of Princeton and Harvard, starting her career in the legal area then the Chicago Mayor’s office had her own accomplishments before becoming the First Lady of the US in 2009. Michelle speaks on a deeply-personal level in Becomingabout how being the First Family sometimes came with unusual challenges and privileges and of course, about Barack running for Presidency. “If there’s one thing I’ve learned in life, it’s the power of using your voice. I tried as often as I could to speak the truth and shed light on the stories of people who are often brushed aside.”

Film: Bohemian Rhapsody
The much-anticipated Queen biopic has finally reached cinemas and X-Men’sdirector Bryan Singer’s latest project is a 134 minute emotional rollercoaster. Mr Robot’s Rami Malek brings Freddie Mercury’s story to the big screen with Ben Hardy (as Roger), Gwilym Lee (as Brian) and Joseph Mazello (as John) making up the legendary group. Get your foot-stomping ready and head in to see it on the big screen today.
