December 2025 Faves

Happy December – the final month of the year! How 2025 has flown by! This month we chat about the We Need To Talk podcast, Turia Pitt’s new book, Educators is back with a new season, fun food ideas and an Instagram account to follow!

What to listen to: We Need To Talk
Hosted by relationship expert, life coach and TV host Paul C. Brunson, the We Need To Talk podcast holds space for a variety of different people from all walks of life to have thought-provoking conversations. Following seeing clips of his episodes with Perrie Edwards (Little Mix), Ashley Roberts (Pussycat Dolls) and YUNGBLUD on Instagram, I jumped over to find the full eps! Check it out where you listen to your podcasts.

What to read: Turia Pitt – Selfish
I remember hearing Turia Pitt speak at a female empowerment event years ago – it wasn’t only what she said, but how she said it – it was definitely empowering! Turia’s latest book Selfish, she flips the scripts and breaks it all down – ‘I wrote a book about my experiences. I want people to understand that looking after themselves is not only okay but it is absolutely necessary for us to be able to navigate this world.’ If you haven’t heard Turia Pitt’s story yet, I encourage you to do so – Selfish is out now.

What to watch: Educators
Educators is back for round four! The comedy series follows a group of teaching staff at a Kiwi secondary school who are said to be hopeless and hilarious… what could possibly go wrong!? Featuring an all-star cast including Jackie van Beek, Kura Forrester, Yvette Parsons, Jonny Brugh, Tom Sainsbury and Angella Dravid – plus you might spot someone familiar when you’re watching (our very own Kim Crossman)! TVNZ+ also has Season 1 to 3 if you need to catch up before streaming Season 4!

What to eat: Food ideas from coconutandbliss
I see videos of upside-down blueberry cheesecake and hashbrown tacos (not together to clarify, but you do you!) on my explore page… safe to say I clicked! This account has been sitting in my saved folder on Instagram because who doesn’t want to try some fun new foodie things? Check out Sophie Fisher’s meal page @coconutandbliss on Instagram

Who to follow: @ammandev
You may recognise London-based content creator Dev Bajwa from your explore feeds, he is a repeat offender (in a good way) that my friends and I send back and forth to each other – you’ll probably understand why if you saw his videos – the hashtags on his videos #adultingishard and #relatablememes in comedic form pretty much sums it up! Check out his Instagram page @ammandev
