What we are loving this February!

Whew – it’s already the second month of Twenty Eighteen! We check out Troye Sivan’s new music, travelling to Tokyo, 5 ingredient recipes with Jamie Oliver and a TV show you won’t want to miss.

Music: Troye Sivan
Oh My My My! Troye Sivan is back with new music, much to the delight of his fans who have been patiently waiting for the follow-up to 2015’s Blue Neighbourhood album. We have been treated with not one, but two new singles – The Good Side and My My My! If those songs and his live performances on SNL are anything to go by, his anticipated upcoming second record will be one for the 2018 books. Plus, as an extra musical treat – he’s joined the soundtrack for March-release film, Love, Simon.

Travel: Tokyo
As the rain storms on outside for the weirdest kiwi ‘Summer’ ever, I’m drooling over my bucket list of dream travel destinations. Japan’s capital city has to be up there – the big lights of Tokyo and the hustle and bustle of the city with sights galore is inviting. Tourist’s options are plentiful from seeing the picturesque Mt Fuji IRL, taking in the food and culture, viewing a unique robot cabaret show (or two) and touring to Kyoto and Nara via the infamous bullet train.

Book: 5 Ingredients – Jamie Oliver
Jamie Oliver’s successful line of cook books continues with his newest addition, 5 Ingredients: Quick & Easy Food featuring salads, pasta, chicken, fish, vege, beef, rice/noodles and sweet treat recipes. A five ingredient recipe sounds like something I can get on board with and really attack (and you should too!). The Egg & Mango Chutney Flatbreads and Easy Rustic Gnocchi are my starting picks.

TV: Catfish
The MTV hit show is back for a seventh season – even celebrating it’s 100th episode milestone. Follow the hilarious hosts Nev Schulman and Max Joseph travel across the width and lengths of America to uncover the truth. Catfish is a documentary-reality style show that you can’t get enough of, take it from me – if you’re looking for a new show to watch or binge, Catfish should definitely be on your list.

Quote: Beyonce
Seriously, take a note out of Bey’s book – “When I’m not feeling my best I ask myself, ‘What are you gonna do about it?’ I use the negativity to fuel the transformation into a better me.” – Beyonce
