Wellbeing: Control your environment

I have read many blogs, articles about the importance of your space. Your living environment is said to be a direct reflection of your life.

For the longest time I had a tidy room.. that was until you opened any draw and revealed the chaos that existed under the surface. That was a pretty accurate representation of me during that season too. I looked like I had it all together from the outside, but you didn’t have to scratch too deep to reveal the absolute manic hot mess that was going on behind closed doors.

So I can speak from experience, control your environment and control your life.

I know when I have a clean room, clean car and just in general a clean environment I feel better and of sound mind too. Vibe is important too – I do not live in a sterile environment either. That is not what makes me feel cozy and safe. I love having music playing always, candles lit and pillows and blankets readily available always. I like my home to feel like a clean, safe comfy nest. I have learnt that, THAT is the ideal environment for me mentally. What is yours? We are all different and our spaces should all reflect us, or the best version of us ideally.

Does your environment reflect you? And if it does, does it reflect the YOU that you want to be?

Change your space and change your life. Get on the same page with your environment and the vibe it gives off and see how your life follows suit.
