Welcome to September and the first day of Spring. This month we are focusing on Relaxing – â€œThe time to relax is when you think you donâ€™t have time for it.â€
We have noticed that coming in to Spring everyone seems to be busy in routine and taking on lots of extra things, leaving most, tired and a bit flat. Sound familiar? This month we want to encourage scheduling time to relax, have an hour to yourself where you are technology free and out in the fresh air.
I have downloaded a meditation app on my phone that takes me through 5 minutes of guided meditation focusing on my breathing. When I donâ€™t have an hour to spare in my day but feeling overwhelmed I have been playing this and it has really helped to center me when it feels like there is so much in the air that requires my attention.
Take care of yourself this month. Eat well, get enough sleep and spend time outdoors when you can.
