June Faves

Happy June! This month we’re loving new Lorde, Wonder Woman and Beyonce’s inspirational words.

Lorde

Spotlight On: Lorde

The 20-year-old songstress, born and bred in New Zealand, has just released her latest single ‘Perfect Places’, much to the delight of her fans after teasing them with lyrics earlier in the week. The song comes ahead of her much-anticipated album, Melodrama, due for release on 22nd June – mark your calendars because if Green Light or Liability is anything to go by, this record is going to be epic from start to finish.

Dubai

Travel Bucket List #5: Dubai
Dubai is a tourist hotspot with lots to do, better get your bucket list out! From the desert adventures, to the massive water parks (the shark tunnel is a must), breathtaking structures and everything in between – Dubai has got to go on your travellers list. You can also shop till you drop in their huge shopping centres – the Dubai Mall even has a aquarium in it with 33,000 animals and an ice rink, yes you read correctly, inside the mall!

Bethany Mota

Book: Bethany Mota – Make Your Mind Up
Bethany may have gained her fan base online, with her YouTube channel having over 10.3 million subscribers and over 929 million views on her videos but get ready for her new project to leave you inspired. The 21-year-old has created her first book, Make Your Mind Up: My Guide to Finding Your Own Style, Life and Motivation, due for release on the 13th. Great read for the inside-weather winter days!

Wonder Woman

Movie: Wonder Woman
This is the first-female led superhero film to come out of DC, so it’s a pretty big deal. Wonder Woman stars Israeli beauty Gal Gadot as Diana / Wonder Woman who may have shared the spotlight with her fellow male superheroes in the past (Batman vs Superman last year) but this time, Gadot shows the world what Wonder Woman has to offer and it doesn’t disappoint – you’ll leave feeling super empowered! Wonder Woman is out in cinemas now.

Beyonce

Quote: Beyonce
“You have the power to change perception, to inspire and empower, and to show people how to embrace their complications and see the flaws, and the true beauty and strength that’s inside all of us.” – Beyonce
