Hi everyone, I hope you all had a lovely Easter break!

In today’s Friday Favourites we have another amazing recipe and beauty tricks to reveal.

Spotlight On: Hunt For The Wilderpeople

Ever since I saw the trailer I have been anticipating the release of this film. Directed by Taika Waititi (Co-director of What We Do in the Shadows), Hunt for the Wilderpeople stars Kiwi legend Sam Neil and rising star Julia Dennison. If you haven’t seen the trailer already, I will post the link below for you to enjoy.

Recipe of the Week: Mustard Hummus Mash

This recipe is the perfect lunch or afternoon snack.

Ingredients:

  • 2 x 400g cans of chickpeas (reserve the liquid and a few chickpeas for decoration)
  • 4 tsp tahini
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 tsp crushed sea salt
  • 6 tbsp quality extra virgin olive oil (plus extra for drizzling)
  • 3½ tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Mustard Powder/ Paprika (optional)
  • Coriander or parsley leaves (optional)

Directions:

Rinse the chickpeas in cold water and tip into the food processor. Add the tahini, mustard powder, crushed garlic, salt, lemon juice and seven tablespoons of the reserved liquid from the cans.

Turn on the food processor and slowly pour in the oil while it runs.

When the mixture is fully combined and smooth, tip it into a serving dish. Drizzle with some more extra virgin olive oil and decorate with a few whole chickpeas. Place on a slice of wholemeal bread! Voila!

Trending: Blurring

The latest craze in the beauty world is the technique of Blurring. The look is easy to achieve, you can do this by applying very light makeup and skincare, but doing so in a way that camouflages any unwanted blemishes or skin concerns. Instead of heavy matte foundations I would suggest you opt to use products that have a dewy finish.
